Frequently Asked Questions

How do I convert a salary to an hourly rate?
+
Divide your annual salary by the number of hours you work per year. If you earn £35,000 and work 37.5 hours per week for 46 weeks (after 6 weeks holiday) that is 1,725 hours — giving an hourly rate of about £20.29. This calculator does that automatically.
What is the UK minimum wage for 2025/26?
+
From April 2025 the National Living Wage (age 21+) is £12.21 per hour. The rate for 18–20 year olds is £10.00/hr and for under 18s and apprentices £7.55/hr.
